God's first promise to mankind

"26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Gen 1:26-28 NKJV"

God's first promise to mankind can truly be described as awesome. Awesome is a word grossly overused in this day and age. Nevertheless here it finds a suitable use.

God's Word telling mankind 'to be fruitful and multiply' still operates today. All breakthroughs in science, medicine and industry can all be traced back to this Word.

Satan did his worst to destroy what God created. Jesus came to redeem us from the curse. He came to restore us back to ' fruitfulness and multiplication'. God has given us 'exceeding great and precious promises' to enable us to partake of all He has in store for us (2 Peter 1:4).

Make this one of the promises you hold unto this year.
