Men of the Bible
A study of the men in the bible will yield great dividend. As Alan Redpath once said 'The conversion of a soul is the miracle of a moment. The manufacture of a saint is the task of a lifetime'. This becomes more apparent as we study the life of imperfect men that God moulded and fashioned into his image over time.

- Who was Jephthah?
Jephthah was a Judge in Israel during the time when there were no kings. This was the period between the death of Joshua (The man who led Israel into the promised land of Canaan) and King Saul (The first King of Israel).
- Peter - the making of a rock
Some have accounted for Peter inconsistency by claiming he was not filled with the Holy Spirit then. They point to a Peter after the day of Pentecost, boldly proclaiming the gospel and seeing thousands being added to the body of Christ (Acts 2).
Nicodemus learnt a truth that transformed him. He learnt it in the privacy of his heart. Unless we pursue the little we have we will not profit from it. Nicodemus might have come by dark but he found the light.
- Barnabas - Men of the bible
Barnabas is the only person in the Acts of the Apostles to be described a good man. Many people were brought to maturity in the faith by Barnabas - including Paul and John Mark.
- John The Baptist - men of the bible
As the people became aware of who Jesus was John was no longer needed. This did not decrease the achievements of John. It simply meant he did not get in the way of what God wanted to do.
