Not a Nightmare, it's real

Driving from work one evening I was listening to a lady on the radio narrating her experience of when she lost her only daughter.

Initially she was hoping that it was not real and that something would happen to bring her daughter back to life.

She was definitely not prepared to bear the agony and the lost but regrettably, it was real and she just had to face up to it.

Most of us, at some point in life have had bad dreams, and have woken up thanking God that it was only a nightmare and not real.

We sometimes wake up sweating, afraid of going back to sleep to avoid another horrifying experience.

Well, whatever we go through in this life is but for a season, no matter how bad it may seem. It may ache and hurt but within time, the hurt and pain gradually fades away.

Now, for a moment, imagine yourself suddenly arriving at an unknown place, a place you never thought existed, but this time it is not a dream, it's forever ? eternity, and it's a horrible place.

John 8:18 says - He that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

2 Peter 3:9 says - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count slackness, but is long suffering to us and not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Revelation 20:14 says - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire while Romans 10:13 says for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

In a nutshell, if you are not confident of where you will spend eternity, l admonish you to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour now. Do not delay, as tomorrow may be too late. However, if you are already sure of your salvation, share the good news with others.
