Paul sets out for Roman.
He is still a prisoner. During the journey Paul warns his captors about impending danger. His advice is ignored and the journey continues (Acts 27; 9-12).
God has mercy on Paul and the crew and the destruction is diverted. Paul notifies the ship captain and the crew of God's protection (Acts 27: 21-26).
Paul may have been the prisoner but he was still in control
