Power of the spoken Word

"1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen 1:1-5 NKJV"

11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrew 11:1-3 NKJV

God created the World with His Word.

The power of the spoken word, or to be more exact, God's Word, should never be under estimated.

There is power in the things we confess (Romans 10:9-10).

As we start a new year lets start with a desire to confess God's Word and will over our life.

Promises from His written Word, prophecies that have been given to us in the past, things the Lord has spoken into our hearts during times of prayer and worship are all candidates for the spoken Word.

Lets confess out aloud what we know to be God's will for our life. It is one of the most effective ways of walking in faith and laying hold of that which God has in store for us.

Speak the Word not the lie.
