The Living Word Library acts mainly as a Christian resource centre on the world wide web. The aim is to provide all the material free of charge.
History
The Living Word Library was started in December 1996 by Dele Oke. It has several domains that point to the same web site - wordlibrary.co.uk, word-library.com, biblelife.co.uk and aboutfaith.co.uk.When Dele Oke started the Living Word Library in 1996 he was a Christian passionate about his faith in Christ. He still is.
Dele was born in the United Kingdom and became a Christian while spending time in Nigeria. His faith was nurtured in the charismatic stream of Christianity.
On returning to the United Kingdom he later gained a BA in theology (Uni. Glos. UK) and this was followed by a MA in Bible and ministry (King’s College London).
Much of the material on this site was written before he obtained his degrees in theology, yet the material is still relevant and pertinent to the Christian faith. We are gradually dating the articles as this is needful for reference purposes and a few others are in need of some editing.
Content
There are several other authors that have contributed to this site. We our gradually updating our database so as to be able to indicate the date they were written and the name of the authors. This is quite essential as at least one of the authors has since passed away.The site is always expanding. It contains testimonies, Bible studies and much more.
Thousands of people have already taken advantage of the material dispensed from this web site. The Bible studies in particular are being used by thousands of people all over the world every week. Prison ministries, Churches, fellowships, individuals and many others have all sent in testimonies of the tremendous help the studies have been.
Updates and the future
The site is currently being updated to allow it to work more effectively on mobile phones and tablets. None of these technologies were used for surfing the web when we initially built this web site in 1996.Very soon we will also be making links to our other electronic material which you can view on electronic readers. As these are being produced by Amazon there will be a charge for downloading them.
